User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: 0.3 I created several events on my calendar in Lightening. For example, I could have something called "Event 1" from 1:00pm-1:50pm. It shows this properly in the dialog if I double click on that entry again. If I look at just the line on the calendar, it will display the following: "2:00pm Event 1" instead of 1pm. If I mouse over it, the display will read my event info, with +1 hour to the start and end time. I don't remember it being like this when I added these in so maybe it has something to do with the year change? My timezone on my computer is CST and so is the calendar (Detroit) so I am not sure why it is adding time to the events. It has done this on every event I have added to the calendar thus far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Version: unspecified → Lightning 0.3
Also, when I double click on a date in the month-view of the calendar to add another event, it auto-fills the values of some fields wrong. Lets say I click on 1/5/06 on the calendar, then the start/end date will actually be 1/4/06. So, start/end date are -1 day for some reason.
What is your system timezone? What timezone do you configured in Lightning?
System timezone is Central Standard, as is what is set in Lightening.
(In reply to comment #5) > System timezone is Central Standard, as is what is set in Lightening. Please specify the exact timezone you configured in Lightning preferences so that that someone can retest this.
Duplicate of bug 364130?
Detroit. No, bug 364130 does not appear to be the same problem or product.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; es-ES; rv:1.0a1) Gecko/20061006 Sunbird/0.3 I have this problem too. My timezone is GMT-3 and the setting in Sunbird is America/São Paulo. The problem is DST-related in my case: we're currently in Daylight Savings Time in Brasil, and our clocks have to be 1h ahead. But Windows always starts and ends DST in the wrong day, so I disabled DST in Windows time settings and change manually when needed. Sunbird was installed after this change. It seems to me that somehow Calendar has two distinct ways to manage time: one from system time and other from its own internal setting. Events are based in system (OS) time and tooltips (view pane) go by Calendar's settings. Since my setting is America/São Paulo. I confirmed this by changing Calendar setting to Mexico City. Guess what? Events read the correct hour, but show in the view pane as 4h earlier. I'd suggest that this bug is solved just by using OS time for all views. Viewing in different timezones could be an option. Many thanks, Emerson
According to Comment #5 the OS is set to: US Central: Standard time zone: UTC-06:00 CST (active) Daylight saving time zone: UTC-05:00 CDT while Lightning is set to Detroit according to Comment #8: America/Detroit: Standard time zone: UTC-05:00 EST (active) Daylight saving time zone: UTC-04:00 EDT This would explain the one hour offset between view and time picker dialog.
