User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Build Identifier: 1.5.0.9 (20061207)
If you copy the entire message source of a mail into a new "Compose mail" window, and then change the From: address in the dropdown at the top of the window, CPU usage is 100% for several seconds. I also experienced complete lockups (100% CPU forever).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
- Get a large mail (>50kB)
- goto the message source window
- say "Select all" (Ctrl-A) then "Copy" (Ctrl-C)
- Open a new message window
- Paste the stuff (Ctrl-V)
- Change the From line in the dropdown at the top
Actual Results:
CPU @ 100% for quite some time
Expected Results:
Pasted those few lines in the blink of an eye

Does turning off inline spell checking help? If so, mark this as duplicate of
bug 324521.
Yeah this seems to alleviate the problem...
