When the user has many open windows positioned to perfection and quits penelope, when the user restarts it would be desireable to restore the previous session. The individual window information persists as of penelope 0.1a11 but nit the set of open windows. The windows would have to be manually opened again.

Also you can currently create multiple window instances for a particular folder. Attempting to open an already open folder should focus the existing window.

Should there be a distinct bug for restoring the application to it's previous set of tabs and any state information such as email drafts when (hopefully) the application again functions like existing Eudora and opens all sub windows in one window? see <a href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375993">375993</a> for details (and please vote if you support this).

Not being a Mac user I don't know how Mac heads use Eudora but I know there's always been the two different window arrangement modes. The description for this bug sounds like it's by a Mac user who doesn't mind many windows open but wants to make sure they re-open in the same manner they were when they closed.

Personally I'd like the same thing however when 375993 is resolved, there will be no 'external' windows to rearrange in terms of the way I will use the app.

Any idea in what rev this feature is planned to be implemented?  ie, 0.1, 0.5, etc...  Don't mean to be pushy, it's just that I don't plan on installing until this is implemented (it's the main thing i'm after).  Thanks for all the work, folks.

This feature has been implemented in Eudora 8 beta 4/Penelope 0.5a1.

There is one limitation to it in that only tabs in the first folder window are restored, not the extra tabs in any secondary windows.  A fix for this was put off due to the tabs model in Thunderbird being re-engineered (bug 218999).

Ah, when I installed the latest version of eudora (8.o.o.b4) the tabs where restord after closing and restarting.
But after restarting my computer they where gone again.....
And now it is as under prevoious versions..... nog tab restore.
Anyone any idear what can be the cause?
