* Ken Saunders expresses general support for the manifesto at http://groups-beta.google.com/group/mozilla.governance/browse_thread/thread/55fcd3fdb0bc7abb/f1a49502aacb333c This is a fine declaration and it is one that I most definitely subscribe to. It gives great pride to be a part of an organization with such great principles. You mentioned community several times and the Mozilla communities are a big part of why I decided to stay and volunteer. I’ve reached out to many of the Mozilla communities for help, support and guidance and each particular community has been welcoming. It amazes me that a company/organization such as Mozilla acts selflessly and provides all that is contained in the draft manifesto. It’s a great offering for the betterment of all Internet users and potential ones. As far as Firefox is concerned, I have no doubts that it’ll continue to win people over, they just have to know that it’s available. Promoting Firefox is key to getting more users that can enjoy the Internet as much as we all do, and there are many ways to do that (insert Spread Firefox plug here).

We expected broad discussion of the manifesto in many different forums, including this one. However, most discussions happened on the mozilla.governance list or were brought there. Closing the entire family of Manifesto bugs. The first version (oddly called 0.9) may be found at: http://www.mozilla.org/about/mozilla-manifesto.html
