In the vertical view mode, when viewing some email, the view pane's width increases. Consequently the email pane get reduced to few characters and is fields cannot be read anymore.

This happen when Thunderbirds add a warning like "To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote images in this message".

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select the vertical layout 
2. Select an email with external images


Actual Results:  
The width of the rightmost pane(content view) expands and "compress" the other pane. It reduce greatly the visibility of the middle pane;

Temporary solution is to select another email to restore the width to its normal value.


Keep the pane's width unchanged and wrap text within.

Reporter wrote me "The problem occurs with both 1.5 and 2.0 b2. "

I also got a screenshot, updating summary. I assume the "blocked image bar" has some minimum width, and since the preview pane width is so small, it makes the whole preview pane a wider to fit.

Dupe of bug 362919?  Altho that didn't occur with 1.5; but it's only been fixed on the branch since Jan 23.

Marking as dupe, I just tested it and seems to be working fine on todays branch nightly.

I'm not sure this bug is similar to 362919.

Indeed 362919 refers to element *within* the pane that does not draw corectly.
In my case it's the *whole* pane that is expanded and thus compress the middle pane (it seems to accommodate some constraint on the warning message length).

Oliver: I can't reproduce that with a recent build. Can you try a nightly?
