User-Agent: Opera/9.10 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Build Identifier: version 2 beta 2 (20070116) A filter does only match the e-mail address in the To: line. When you search for name and address, no there's no match. Adding the To: line as customized filter does work but after a restart the default To is selected. I file this as Bug since I expect a mail filter to be able to filter for name + address and customizing does not work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Inbox, select an example message and view the message source 2. Copy name and adress out of To: line. e.g. "Average Joe" <average@example.com> 3. Add new filter with "To contains "Average Joe" <average@example.com>" 4. As action select e.g. "tag message" 5. Run the filter on inbox --> nothing happens 6. Edit filter and change from "To" to "To" as customized header 7. Run the filter on inbox --> action happens 8. Restart Firefox and edit Filter --> the default To is selected again and filtering does not work Expected Results: In step 5 the action should be performed. Or in step 8 the customized To should be kept There are some more bugs which prevent possible ways of working with name + address: Bug 99997 – "Copy email address" doesn't copy name https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99997 Bug 327621 – Make From/To name+address mail header pane selectable in order to allow copying https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327621
