A clarification; that blog was from the MS XML team, not the IE team. But it stands to reason that if the former implements it, the latter is likely to use it.
Colin Paul Adams would be interested implementing XSLT 2.0 for Firefox; see
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=625918
but his post is still without any answer! Adams is the author of the Gestalt
XSLT 2.0 interpreter (see http://gestalt.sourceforge.net).

Hi peter

I'm trying to reproduce old bugs to see if we can resolve some.

Due to Firefox having changes after so many years, maybe this problem doesn't happen anymore. I'm wondering if this can be resolved. Do you know?

thanks

This is a feature request rather than a bug report. As far as I can tell, XSLT 2.0 hasn’t been implemented in Firefox yet.

XSLT 2.0 was published about 20 years ago and has been a W3C recommended standard for 14 years.

XSLT 3.0 became the W3C recommended standard 4 years ago.

It doesn't appear that any serious work has been put into Mozilla's XSLT support for at least 15 years, and even then was only minor bugfixes.

We have no plans to implement XSLT 2.0 (and neither do other browsers afaik).
