User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: version 2 beta 2 (20070116) I recently did some work dividing my address book into different address books (8 besides personal & collected). I also recently installed an extension called Duplicate Address Manager (or something like that) & used it successfully. I don't know when this problem began occurring, but the quick search (upper right corner of Address Book window) no longer returns any results in any of the ABs. As soon as I type a letter, the list of names goes blank. I uninstalled the extension & it still doesn't work. The extended search does appear to work fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Blank window where selected addresses should appear.
Does anything appear on the error console when you do this?
You know, I've never used the error console before. No there doesn't seem to be anything about this problem in it. The status line shows "no matches found".

I am having a similar problem. My colleague at work first found and was able to reproduce this problem always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose a new message, and click "Contacts". 2. Choose anybody from the list and double click to add the email address to "To:" list. 3. Minimize the compose window. 4. In Thunderbird click "Address Book". You will only see the person you choose in the compose window. Rest of the contact are missing. 5. Close the compose window with "Don't save" option. 6. From now on "Address Book" only shows one contact (the chosen one) until Thunderbird is closed or the contact pane in compose window is closed. I hope this information helps in finding the bug
Joe, did you resolve the bad file name issues with your address books? (that we found when investigating your palmsync problem) can you summarize what we found in this bug?

Last summer or fall I switched to Mac. Because TB2 does not work w/Mac AB, I stopped using TB. I'll revisit once a TB3 Beta comes out. So I can't respond to the substance of your questions.
