Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Build Identifier: version 2 beta 2 (20070218)
After a new mail has been received, if I single-click the new mail icon in the system tray the alert popup reappears, which is a fine feature.
However if I double-click the system tray icon to actually read the new message(s), the popup is still visible, it doesn't hide.
There is really no need in new mail alert popup being opened after I've long read the message. It's quite annoying to click the red 'X' every time.
The usability would be even better, if the popup itself would be clickable, with the same action as double-click on system tray icon, and then hiding itself.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive the new mail
2. Single-click, then double-click on the new mail icon in the system tray
3. Read the new mail.
Actual Results:
The popup is still open
Expected Results:
The popup should close ;-)
