Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2

Firefox should be made to support the AdobePDFViewer.plugin PDF view that ships with Adobe Reader.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Adobe Reader
2. Restart Firefox
3. Enter About:plugins in URL

Actual Results:
AdobePDFViewer is not displayed and PDFs refuse to open in webpages

Expected Results:
AdobePDFViewer should be displayed and PDF files should be displayed in the browser.

The plugin is now available for Intel machines and works fine with Safari, so there is nothing wrong with the plugin. Please make it work with Firefox. The suggestion that we could use the schubert-it PDFBrowser plugin will not work either, as there is no Intel version of this plugin available. Also, it doesn't support certain PDF features (It displays watermarks in on screen when the PDF file is set to only display when printed, it allows you to print PDFs that have been set to prevent this, etc).
Adobe made the plug-in to work only with Safari:

"Acrobat does not support viewing PDF files within other browsers on Mac OS X such as Internet Explorer." (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=331040)
