User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.10 (20070221) Here is what I did: - selected an Email folder in the LocalEmail - right-click, select "compact this folder" - (by accident) quickly clicked on another email-folder shortly afterwards - received a warning message that folder (to be compacted) could not be found --> folder I tried to compact was lost --> file(s) behind that folder were lost (in user data \ thunderbird) Could restore them with a NTFS undelete tool but this leaves no safe expression. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: I haven't tried to reproduce it to keep my emails safe for now...

I found out what the reason was: The folder didn't get deleted but moved to another one as sub-folder. I must have been clicking and moving the mouse too fast. Sorry for the noise. :-(
