Just to clarify since clicking on a link with "news:alt.windows98" also
automatically added the news group "alt.windows98" to the mail/news accounts.
This should not be the case. There should be a dialog asking the user if he/she
wants to add this news group to his default news server. Or even better ask
which news server to add it to!

fixed.
OK, I'm verifying this bug and will open some separate side issues.
Using 2000-05-31-08 commercial build, the news://host/article doesn't
autosubscribe the newsgroup. Marking this verified.
However, here are some separate issues:
1. news://host/article will indeed add the server if the server isn't already
configured for that profile
2. news://host/article will open in the message pane instead of a message
window when following a link from the mail window
3. news:group such as mentioned from henrik's last comments doesn't
autosubscribe the group, but goes through a series of errors which results from
us trying to translate the shortened/default url format to news://group and has
some issues. This is largely attributed to the fact we don't have a default
news server in seamonkey. I'll try to tie to an existing bug where applicable
and log some of the errors separately for this particular mess.
