REPRODUCTION:

- go to Week 13 in 2007
- open the print dialog
- choose the weekly planner layout

RESULT:
=======

- the first day in the print layout is Monday 26th March and the last is Sunday 25th March (Sequence is Mon 26, Tue 27, Wed 28, Thu 29, Fri 30, Sat 31, Sun 25)  


EXPECTED RESULT:
================

- the first day in the Print is Sunday 25th, last one Saturday 31th.

I think this was done on purpose if First day of week is set to Sunday.
Bug 361560 fixed the issue you describe if First day of week is set to Monday.

Yes, you are right, first day of week is set to Sunday.

But I think the user is a little bit confused when in the calendar week view the week starts with Sunday 25th, and in the print preview this day is the last one.

Also the print preview should start with the same day that is set as first day of the week at Edit/Preferences/Lightning/Views.

At print weekly planner, first day (example) is Mon, Sept 17, 2012, next is Tue Sept 11, Wed Sept 12, ... end with Sun Sept 16 2012.

the events of the first day are correct for Mon, Sept 10 2012, just the date from the header of the planner is wrong.

What should be the right fix here?

If we have to build the weeks with the right sequence of the days, the fix seems quite simple because is sufficient make the code using always Monday as start of the week in the file calWeekPrinter.js
Instead, if the weekly planner has to change in order to shows the first day as that one selected in the preferences of the views, things are more complicated.
I have a raw patch that builds the weeks in that way (see screenshot), but the worst results (as look) is just that one with Sunday as start of the week.

What's your opinion?

In my opinion any of the three in comment 6 is better than having dates out of sequence.  The user can fiddle with the starting date if he doesn't like the graphics.  So based on that, I like the middle image.  There could be an option for the weekly planner printout to start on a selectable date that defaults to match the monthly view, but changeable for printing the weekly planner only.
