User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20070206 Minefield/3.0a2pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/20070206 Minefield/3.0a2pre For both FF 2.0.0.3 and the latest nightly build (4/6/07), I've found that if I follow these steps, then the Toolbar Search function won't display the search result page (ie., Google page with my search results). 1. Start Firefox (or Minefield). We'll call this "Window A." 2. Click File -> New Window. Or start another instance of Firefox. We'll call this "Window B." 3. In Window A, click File->Print. Leave the dialog box open, without printing. 4. In Window B, do a Toolbar Search. The search results are not displayed until the dialog box in Window A is closed. It seems that the search request is made to the server (ie., Google), even if the results are not displayed yet. I say this because I see network activity when I attempt the search, and because the display of search results is instantaneous as soon as the Print (or Save) dialog box is closed. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: See above "Details" of issue. Basically, open two Firefox windows, open a Print or Save As dialog box in the first window, and then try to use the Search Toolbar in the second window. Seems to happen consistently on the nightly build (I've tried it on two different machines). Seems to happen consistently with FF 2.0.0.3 on one machine, but not the other. Actual Results: No search results were displayed in the second window, until the dialog box in the first window was closed. Expected Results: Search results should be displayed, since the rest of the functionality of the second window is unhindered by what happens in the first window. I'm on Windows XP SP2.
We're running out of room to add any more hung features into its summary, but that the same issue as bug 257121's catalog of woes.
