With Firefox I can press DEL to get rid of these. It would be nice to have this in Seamonkey also. In addition I would expect that under "Smart Browsing / Location Bar Autocomplete" in preferences would be a button to clear the history. There is not. Reproducible: Always
There's a clear location bar button in the navigator->history pref panel. deleting entries from the dropdown is bug 87098 You can delete the autocomplete entries manually by deleting them from your history (Go->History).
