User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.0 (20070326)
When upgrading from thunderbird 1.5 (the very latest public release before 2.0 was released) the installer is unable to write to some dlls. My installer could not write to mozMapi32.dll but other people have been getting the same problem with MapiProxy.dll.
Thunderbird was closed at the time, and restarting and trying to reinstall did not help. I was able to install by renaming the files from the previous installation before installing to avoid the permissions problem.
The error message also displays a lot of \r\n s which are not escaping properly (they appear in the text, instead of as a carriage return and line feed)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run windows vista
2. Have 1.5 installed
3. Try to install 2.0
This does not happen for everyone, but for those it does, it happens every time.

Note that this is a bit different from bug 340535 as it is not a problem updating while thunderbird is open, it also happens even if thunderbird has not been opened since the system has started (possibly due to the prefetch cache in windows)
Version: unspecified → 2.0
Indeed. This is a NSIS installer issue. Reduping.
