STR:
1. In a Thunderbird build after bug 355102 landed, hover the subject in the thread pane (the upper right one that lists the emails in a folder) for an email with a subject long enough to be truncated, so that it has a titletip.
2. Before the titletip times out and disappears on its own, move the mouse off that treecell.
Before bug 355102, nothing happened, which was wrong: rather than dismissing the titletip, it just sat there until it timed out.
However, after bug 355102, moving the mouse off the treecell dismisses the titletip that's showing the full subject, and shows the tooltip for one of the column headers - usually, but not always, the "Click to display message threads" tooltip for the first column header.

Phil - this is probably fixed by the patch on bug 376811. Can you confirm?
