User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070221 SeaMonkey/1.1.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070221 SeaMonkey/1.1.1 To help organize mail in my inbox, i created custom views. Example: View "freebsd-stable" selects all mails where "to or cc" contains "stable". While in my Inbox, i select the above custom view. I hit CTRL/A to select all mails in order to move them to a different folder. BUT: Hitting CTRL/A cancels the custom view, thereby selecting *all* mails in my Inbox, which is not what i want. If i select/open at least one mail before hitting CTRL/A, the problem does *not* occur Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mailnews 2. In your Inbox, select a custom view (The predefined view "Unread" will also do 3. Hit CTRL/A Actual Results: The view is reset to "All" (Provided no mail was selected/open) Expected Results: All Mails within the view should be seleted, but the view should not be reset Bug has been present for quite a few versions now. Don't know exactly when it was introduced. Although there is a workaround (select at least one mail), it is quite annoying when you move your entire Inbox into a subfolder.
Version: unspecified → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
On a second thought, I think the focus is still in the dropdown list, thus the CTRL gets dropped and A selects the first entry with A in the dropdown, which happens to be All in en (or even de, incidently). I suppose you get a save dialog when hitting ^S instead of ^A?
You are right, the dropdown list still has focus. ^S will bring up the save dialog. What's strange: If i hit A, the view is reset to "All" If i hit ^A, the view is reset to "All" AND all mails are selected. So the "A" part seems to be used twice. BTW, i am using the US version.
