Email not deleted from POP server with "Leave messages on server" "Until I delete them" though I have deleted many junk mail and other messages they are all there 4 days later even after quitting. I am using OS 10.4.9 on a pbG4. Everything worked fine under 1.5.10

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check on "Leave messages on server". Check on "Until I delete them"
2. Delete messages to trash, empty trash
3. Check your server and messages are still there
Actual Results:
Messages are not deleted

Expected Results:
Messages should have been deleted

Messages should have been deleted
in 1.5, as well as 2.0, you need to do a Get New Mail after step 2 in order to ever see messages deleted from the pop3 server.
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I've been doing Get New Mail all weekend (both automatically ever 10 minutes and manually when I get the itch). It's still not being removed from the server - nothing was deleted since April 19 - when I installed 2.0 - until today, April 23, when I noticed the problem.
Turns out the filter I have for messages marked "potential-spam" set to move to the trash, but I hadn't noticed the new TB 2.0 option in the drop down menu for Delete from POP server.

Thanks for your time

ah, ok, np.

On TB 1.5 we had: Until I delete or move them from Inbox.

On TB 2.0 we have only: Until I delete them.

When I move messages to my Local Folders, TB 2.0 does not delete them from POP server (TB 1.5 did).

using tools | options | advanced | config editor,

toggle the pref "mail.pop3.deleteFromServerOnMove" to true, and you'll get the old behavior.
