User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

Say, I have the login credentials of site http://www.xyz.com/ stored in the password manager. This is protected with a master password.
I click a bookmark to go to site http://www.xyz.com/. Before the password manager pops up and before the site gets loaded fully, I click on another bookmark to take me to another ordinary site (no login creds reqd). Now while the ordinary site is loading, the password manager pops up and I enter the master password. It accepts it and continues loading the ordinary site (as it should). But then it never finishes. It just keeps loading. I can open new tabs but they are greyed out. I can type in the address bar and the search bar, but nothing happens. The browser just hangs. If I close it, it closes, but it remains resident in memory as can be seen from Process Explorer. I have to click on it and KILL it inorder to start a new Firefox.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to go to a site for which login credentials are stored in Firefox and are protected with master password.
2. Immediately go to another site in the same tab BEFORE the password manager prompt comes up (this happens only the first time you start Firefox).
3. While new site is loading, password prompt comes up. Enter master password and click Ok.

Actual Results:
Ordinary site keeps loading and never finishes. If you open new tabs, they open but the content area is gray. You can type in the search bar and the address bar but nothing happens. Its sort of hung. Close Firefox. IT will close, but will not die. You have to manually kill it from the task manager for it to unload.

Expected Results:
If the currently loading site doesn't require password, it should not prompt for it. Even if it does, it should not try and search for a form to enter the login credentials since a new site is now being loaded in the tab. It should not hang. The browser should remain responsive. Even if the tab hangs, other tabs should be able to continue browsing. Maybe threading among tabs is not implemented properly.

Bilari, did the link in comment 1 help to solve your problem?
Er...I went through that stuff from comment #1, but I've absolutely no idea what to do :P
Heh, do any of the things in comment 1 apply to you? If not, can you try with a new profile? You'll have to set a new Master Password and store at least one password in your password manager. You can delete the profile after testing.

I cannot reproduce this on 2.0.0.4 or Minefield Nightly on Windows XP SP2.

I have two bookmarks set up, one for the Youtube login page and another for the 50webs.com login page. Both of which I have passwords saved for.

I click on one of the bookmarks and before the master password dialog appears, I click on the other bookmark. No page is loaded at this point, and I cannot do anything except for entering my master password.

Once I enter my master password, I am taken to the last bookmark I clicked with my login information filled in for me.

This is the expected result.

Bilari, please upgrade to 2.0.0.4 and try again.
