User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: 1.5.0.10 (20070221)

After an e-mail is sent (no problem) the progress pop-up will display the text "Copying message to sent e-mails folder) - even when this is complete the window will stay open indefinitely displaying this text - the only way to close it is to click cancel. The message is always in the sent items folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Send an e-mail
Actual Results:
See description of bug (above)

Expected Results:
Once the message was copied to the sent items folder the progress pop-up should close.

(Q1) Question on Sent folder(or folder you set as folder to save sent mail):
POP3? Or IMAP? If POP3, Global Inbox? If Global Inbox is used, how many accounts share the Global Inbox?
(Q2) Question on extension/theme.
Do you install extension/theme? If yes, does your problem occur even when safe-mode of Tb?

When IMAP, get IMAP protocol log to help problem analysis by developers.
"SET NSPR_LOG_MODULES=imap:5,smtp:5" is sufficient for initial analysis, I think.
Set environment variables, and start Thunderbird, and execute required operations to re-create your problem, and terminate Thunderbird, and save log file, and attach log file to this bug(mime-type=text/plain if Bugzilla accepts).

(Q3) Can you test with newly released Thunderbird 2.0 and latest-trunk with new profile?
If yes, does your problem occur even when Thunderbird 2.0 and/or latest-trunk?
If yes, does your problem occur even when new profile?
=> incomplete, no response

Pete, if you see this problem in a newer, 2.x version please reopen the bug. THanks
