filter problem, mail unread are set as read after filter execution

when i receive an email the mail is set to unread.
i createa filter, afert this modification when i receive an email the mail is set to read!
only for few second the mail is set to unread!!
if i remove the filter all wark correctly.
i this is a FILTER BUG..
when the filter run set ALL MAIL AS read.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. set a filter
2. receive ad email
3. look that the mail is set as read!!
Actual Results:
the mail that i revieve is set to read when i dont read the mail!
Expected Results:
the mail must be unread after the filter running

What is the filter criteria you use? POP or IMAP? Tried with no extensions?

I have 3 mail with POP and 1 mail with IMAP.
I see the problem in all my mail box (IMAP and POP).
i set a simple filter mail from aaa@aaa.com move into a subdir.
i haven't install any extension.

are the target folders, where message is moved to, local or imap?
I've never seen this, and i do lots of filtering to both local and imap folders.

The target folder is IMAP.
It's happend on many different pc..

my suspicion is that your imap server is marking the message read on IMAP peek, which it isn't supposed to do...

Davide, do you still see this? If so, can you confirm comment 5 is correct, or attach an imap log?

Though I'm using TB 2.0.0.17+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 on a 64 bit Ubuntu machine I'm pretty sure I have the same issue, which also might be a duplicate of #361182 .
The server is a GroupWise IMAP 'gateway', only the inbox is checked for new messages and after applying a filter for new mail, the message is also marked read, which makes the whole filtering thing useless for me.
The target folder is on the same server.
Also checked this for a completely clean profile (deleted .thunderbird dir) and after disabling all add-ons.
Other mail clients like kmail don't show this behavior, they filter correctly leaving the mail unread.
How can I help?
Log after starting up TB, receiving a new mail which is moved on subject.
Removed the lines of a different IMAP account.

The INCOMPLETE state should be removed, as there is a log attached since some time.

Thanks Ulf. Although there is a log, we have no way to know that Alex's issue is a match to the original reporter, don't know whether Alex is still seeing the problem 3 years later, and bug 361182 cited in comment 8 is marked invalid. In short, if Alex still sees a problem and not good match is still open, I think it best a new bug should be filed
