User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.0 (20070326) Thunderbird 2.0.0 is at 100% CPU for at least 50 secs (on a Pentium M 1.7GHz) when receiving large text emails (e.g. daily logwatch reports of about 550KB). Even with junk mail check turned off! I have reproduced it on 2 Windows XP machines. I am receiving mails via IMAP(s). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on mail 2. Wait for a minute while Thunderbird hangs at 100% CPU 3. Continue working Actual Results: 100% CPU for about a minute Expected Results: Just load the mail and be done.

Yeah of course. And yes I have disabled Enigmail etc. to test. I have also disabled the spelling checker. I can see a large increase in memory usage during the hang of the application. After that it goes slowly back to normal. But I don't care anymore, I have reduced the verbosity of logwatch reports, so that solves my problem at least ;)
> large text emails (e.g. daily logwatch reports of about 550KB) Problem of Bug 383718?
