38239 - Hide the thread column, Sender column collapses

Build 2000-05-03-08M16: NT4, Linux 6.0, Mac 9.0

Overview: Using the column widget (in the top right corner of the thread pane),
deselect the Thread option.

Actual Results: The columns are resized so that the:
- Thread column is very wide
- Sender column is so thin that it only displays one character with three dots 
"N..."
- Read/Unread icon column is very wide
- Priority column is too thin and displays "..." - 
- Total is removed completely
- Column widget (arrow) does not appear and displays "..."

I tried resizing the columns, then closing and restarting the application but 
the columns remain in this strange state. This makes it very difficult to read 
mail because I can no longer see the Sender.

Expected Results: The Thread column should have been removed leaving all other 
columns visible including the column widget.

I'm reasonably sure this is a tree bug and I think it's a dup.  reassigning to

As with another thread pane bug... will the tree rewrite landing deal with this?

Unless this gets closed in such a landing, this is severe enough that we'd need 
it fixed in beta3, so I'm adding a nomination.

Fixed, although you can't verify since I don't have column collapsing turned 
back on yet.
