Reviews should not only include a "template" the way Bugzilla does, but they should also contain some server-side logic for requiring at least N pros and cons per review so the user doesn't just give an opinion without reasons for that opinion.
We should explore implementing logic and a form layout that requires users to justify their opinion so we avoid "reviews" like, "THIS SUCKS LOL" or, "Great extension!" which are ultimately not very useful to potential users.

I would suggest taking a look at epinions.com for some ideas. I find their layout pretty helpful.

Interesting idea but we'll need to push it out to another release (not 3.2)

I strongly concur that a structured review format or at least some strongly worded guidance for reviewers would be of benefit. I'm not sure if forcing users to come up with a set number of pro's and cons is the best way, but it would certainly be an improvement over a complete lack of structure.
I think in an ideal world you'd go all Amazonic and have registered users being able to flag "this review was useful" / "this review was not useful" and then rank the reviews accordingly. And then score the reviewers by their up/down votes and have a "Top 50 reviewers" award or whatever. Hmmm. I'll see if there's another bug these thoughts can be applied to, or file a new one.

We have a review guide now, which should have taken care of this.
