User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Version 2.0.0.4 (20070604) When Thunderbird is configured to use a proxy (socks / http / https) either via Proxy.pac or manual setup, these setting are NOT used when the address book is doing any communication with an LDAP server. A direct connection is opened instead. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure Thunderbird to use a Proxy (socks / https) 2. Configure a remote LDAP address book 3. Try to access this address boom via the proxy (e.g. search for "@") 4. Watch 'lsof -i' or 'netstat -l' and see that that a direct connection is opened instead of a proxied connection Actual Results: No LDAP queries are possible at all. Expected Results: LDAP queries are working.
