can't ctrl-(shift)-tab through 3pane panes, it does nothing; if you have tabs open it'll switch between those (well, it'll cycle through the tab heads, not actually switch the tab content) so I blame bug 218999 tbird trunk 2007-06-28-12Z linux
yeah, all this stuff needs to be coded by hand, and that code hasn't been written yet.

WFM - perhaps Scott's recent checkins fixed it.
I fixed ctrl-tab for navigating tabs, but you still can't navigate through the mail 3-pane with ctrl-tab anymore.
FWIW, ctrl-pgdn/pgup also navigates tabs
