The description pretty much sums it up. It happens only when using "Empty Trash" from the context menu, not when deleting the message manually.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a mail in Trash and click on it so it shows in the preview pane.
2. Right-click Trash folder and select "Empty Trash"
3. Note that the message contents is still showing in the preview pane. It is possible to scroll in it, copy&paste etc.
Actual Results:
The mail is deleted but the last selected message stays in the preview pane.
Expected Results:
The preview pane should be empty; the e-mail message which is shown doesn't exist anymore.

Just to say that I use IMAP with Exchange server, but I can reproduce this also on Trash in Local Folders.
