Although Edit | Preferences : General -- Thunderbird Start Page still allows one to enter locations other than the default, about: URIs are ignored.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set an about: URI as the start page under Edit | Preferences : General -- Thunderbird Start Page.
2. Close and relaunch Thunderbird.
Actual Results:  
The Start Page continues to show chrome://messenger/content/start.xhtml.

Expected Results:  
The Start Page should show the indicated about: URI (/e.g./, about:buildconfig).

This functionality did exist at one point -- certainly, within the past eight months -- , but I don’t know when it was broken or removed.  It is a minor, even trivial, but it was a useful functionality to have available.

Works fine on branch, i don't seem to get the start page at all on trunk. Just the "Mozilla Thunderbird is a powerful, open-source mail and news client."-page

Even http://www.mozilla.org doesn't work as start page anymore. 

Regression window is 2007-06-29 -> 2007-06-30 (linux trunk builds)
