Are you using Sunbird or Lightning? What version? What type of calendar do you use? Do you see any error message in the Error Console?

I am using the most current version of Lightning/Thunderbird.
There is no error message. The task simply doesn't appear. Entered all the task info correctly numerous times. Just never shows anywhere.
Repeating myself: What type of calendar do you use?

Do you use a Google Calendar with the Provider for Google Calendar extension? Because Google doesn't support tasks in Google Calendar there is no way to store tasks created with Lightning in Google Calendar.
Ah. Yes I'm using Lightning, and I have Google calendar extension.

I just thought that the Tasks, since through Lightning, would be saved via Lightning and not Google. I didn't need Google to save the tasks, but would have been nice for Lightning to save the tasks.

I'll try to set the Task through a non-google calendar to see if that solves it.
Thanks.

Moving to Provider: GData
Component: Tasks → Provider: GData
QA Contact: tasks → gdata-provider

From the extension homepage:
Q: "Why can't I create tasks on a Google Calendar?" A: "Google doesn't support Tasks, so there is no way the provider can support them."

-> INVALID

(Maybe a future extension version will offer this feature, see Bug 391063)
