392421 - Setup SVN server permissions for KUI project

There's a new mozilla labs project called "KUI" that the following people need access to; I can create the area for this in SVN (I'll put it under svn.m.o/labs/kui), but I can't add the permissions for that area.

The following peeps should have r/w:

[e-mail] 

I talked to Alex about this, and it was unclear whether all these people had CVS accounts; if they don't, we'll have to track those requests separately.

I'm pretty sure we don't have CVS (yes, I know it is SVN) Contributor forms on file for everybody listed except for dolske. So, we need each one of them to fill out the CVS Contributor Form (http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/form.html) and either put it in Marcia's chair or fax it appropriately. Since Marcia is gone until the first week of September, we'll need to get Karen to acknowledge receipt of the forms so that they can be printed out and put in Marcia's chair.

All forms ([e-mail], [e-mail], and [e-mail]) need to be placed in Marcia's chair when they are received. Hopefully Tony can help to confirm this.

I'm placing forms in Marcia's chair as they come in.  Is it possible to start giving people access as the forms arrive (as opposed to once all of them have been received)?

Each committer will need to attach his/her SSH public key to this bug. dolske should already have his key in LDAP from the CVS -> Hg migration, so he doesn't need to. Also, you (faaborg) should already have your key in LDAP from when you requested a people account. So, SSH public keys need to be attached for both [e-mail] and [e-mail]. IT should be able to go ahead and create SVN accounts for both you and dolske right now.

It may or may not come in, can we give people accounts as we get the forms?  If we are going to have an extension ready for a simultaneous launch with Firefox 3, we need to move quickly.

[e-mail], [e-mail] and [e-mail] have svn accounts now with rw access to labs/kui.

Here is some general information about our svn server.

For anonymous browsing and checkout, use http://svn.mozilla.org

The svn url for checkins/checkouts will be
svn+ssh://svn.mozilla.org/projects/labs/kui.  You can also checkin/checkout  using the https url at https://svn.mozilla.org/labs/kui.

Your e-mail address will be your svn login as well.  You can pass this
user name directly on the svn url in the command line, but some svn
clients get confused with commands like this.  In the example below
substitute '[e-mail]' with your e-mail address.

svn co svn+ssh://[e-mail]@svn.mozilla.org/blah

They interpret 'host.tld' to be the svn repository host name and
svn.mozilla.org to be the revision.  In unix environments, to get
around this (client confusion), put this in your ~/.ssh/config

Host svn.mozilla.org
User [e-mail]

Then, you can simply use "svn co svn+ssh://svn.mozilla.org/blah"

Please refer to copious google search results to get this working on
non-unix platforms.

As stated in Comment 12, I have CVS forms for everyone except that one individual, so you should be able to create accounts for those three.  Has someoned pinged [e-mail] to let him know we need the form?

Moving this back to Server Operations: Account Requests and marking INCOMPLETE until form is (if ever) received. If form ever comes in, which comment #13 says may or may not happen, then the bug can be reopened. There's no need to let a bug sit open for something that has been mentioned may never happen.
