Prevent purple Pinstripe plug-ins plugin paroxysms
Now that bug 366842 has landed on the trunk, where we have a plugins page in the add-ons manager, we have our absolutely lovely extension and theme icons, and for plugins what I think might be the original image that :rs was talking about in bug 391670 comment 3 - it seems to match the "god awful color" description - and rather jaggy images for updates and installs. Since http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:Add-ons_Manager_UI may (or, may not) be giving us a totally revamped add-ons manager, unless someone really wants to draw some new icons that may well only be used in nightlies for a few weeks, I'm inclined to think we should just slice the right-side half off http://mxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/toolkit/themes/pinstripe/mozapps/extensions/viewButtons.png and stick it in our image, and then leave this open depending on bug 391670, to be resolved depending on whether that gets fixed (with something we want, or with something we don't) or invalided by reason of the UI changing out from under it.
Actually, most of the images in the seamonkey image seem to be an improvement, except for the purple world with the clipped poles (though I think the globe with the arrows is a bit clipped too).
Meh. Despite my questions about it being treated like asking Apple about future product releases, I think Fx still plans on replacing the separate panes with a single list, so this is probably all talk about how to dress the corpse. This is the 50-50, with the extensions and themes icons that better match our theme (though, since we don't replace extensionItem.png, extensions without their own icon still bring the not-us version into the window), but I'd be equally happy with giving up on replacing the toolkit image, which would make our life easier if it does change to a single list, since we wouldn't have to remember to remove our orphaned replacement.
