Seen using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007100404 Minefield/3.0a9pre. STR: 1. Customize toolbar in some way (drag and drop a few icons). Click done. 2. Put focus in the Search bar and search for "junk food" 3. The search results show a result for Google, not junk food. tchung and I have also gotten in state where the search always returns the last set of results you were searching for, not the current ones. When I get in this funky state, the only way to get out is to close down the browser and relaunch.
Not sure if https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398346#c8 will address this issue as well.

Should be fixed now that bug 398346 is fixed. Can anyone confirm?
Yep, fixed by bug 398346 (well, bug 398135).
