Current definition of WORKSFORME in bugzilla is:
"
WORKSFORME
All attempts at reproducing this bug were futile, and reading the code produces no clues as to why the described behavior would occur. If more information appears later, the bug can be reopened.
"
This doesn't really mention the case where something was a bug and could be easily seen, but somewhere along the cycle, it was fixed and it isn't clear what fixed it.
I know, by looking with older builds, one can find out when it was fixed and then find the patch that fixed it, but I don't think that's worth the effort, often.

Well, people aren't supposed to be using WORKSFORME for that case. Perhaps we need a "WORKSNOW" if we know that's why it happened, but can't find the bug that fixed it to dupe or set a dependency and mark fixed.

Says who? :)
It's been used that way on b.m.o since forever, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

The fact that something has been used (wrongly) *forever* doesn't mean that's the correct way to do it.
Emergency door, as well as the staircase, is supposed to be closed permanently and used only in case of fire. But people always find it easier to use and sometimes let it open permanently and *forever*. Does that mean that we have to remove the "Emergency door" panel, take this attitude as granted and let the door open all the time?
