Can you include the "Clipboard never working" stuff in the article in abbreviated form? You could list out the different malware that causes it and link to places that explain how to remove it. You should also explain the Microsoft Remote Editor thing further. Can you check that these are all problems that still happen in the latest Firefox?

ok, ok, and ok. Should I go into detail about it never working or justsay this is why refer here to fix and give a warning.

Just say that certain software can cause it not to work, then list out the software (and what it comes bundled with) along with links to remove.
ok, but what about the registry part?
Don't worry about the registry part. Just list the software for now.
I am not sure if I should go into detail about fixing the malware. That is complicated stuff.
No, don't describe how to remove it. But if you can find links that describe how to do it from a reputable site, that'd be good.
ok, I finished it, any suggestion would be welcome
Good work. In general it covers what we want to cover now. Some of the major content issues: You mention that it could be caused by the registry, but you never explain how to fix it. Either remove this reference to the registry or explain it. Also, explain how someone could check for malware (e.g. using a scanner such as X or Y) Can you state that if the clipboard doesn't work in any program on the user's computer, then it's not a Firefox problem? Can you include comments on instances of people having each of these problems (forum threads, bug reports, etc)
the bug reports put in ~tc~ or like a link [1]?

ok
ok, all fixed. The reason I put update Firefox is because some problems were fixed in updating to Firefox 2 see: <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Clipboard_not_working#Mozilla_and_Windows_bugs>.
I didn't realize that the registry thing was the same as the malware thing. I don't think you need to mention the registry at all in that case, just say it's the malware that does it. Can you put the New.net fix after the New.net description, and the same for the malware list and fix? I've actaully never heard of the two anti-malware solutions you posted...
is that a good thing or a bad thing that you have never heard of them? I have used both and they work great. ok, rearranged it.
- Are there no cases of the clipboard never working in Firefox, but working in other programs? - We should probably mention the "Disable or replace context menus" pref. <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window#advanced_javascript> - The first section is confusing. It says "Check to see if you are infected with these malwares. " then lists one item. It's not clear what new.net is (program or addon?). If the paragraph after it is part of the list item, then make part of the list item, or don't use a list. - If new.net is on the add-ons window, how is the user supposed to know if they have it? - I'm unsure if we need to list programs that come with new.net. - If the section after new.net is part of that list item, is the paragraph after pushow part of the pushow list item? - Is this problem sometimes a direct result of not having the latest version of Firefox? If not, we should take the section on upgrading.
(In reply to comment #18) > - Are there no cases of the clipboard never working in Firefox, but working in > other programs? It says in the first section: "If the clipboard never works only when Firefox is open, proceed to the next section." maybe we should make that bold > - We should probably mention the "Disable or replace context menus" pref. > <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window#advanced_javascript> added > - The first section is confusing. It says "Check to see if you are infected > with these malwares. " then lists one item. It's not clear what new.net is > (program or addon?). If the paragraph after it is part of the list item, then > make part of the list item, or don't use a list. made it more clear > - If new.net is on the add-ons window, how is the user supposed to know if they > have it? by checking there add-ons windows > - I'm unsure if we need to list programs that come with new.net. It is important because if they installed any of those programs they could have new.net. > - If the section after new.net is part of that list item, is the paragraph > after pushow part of the pushow list item? The paragraph after is a global thing to eliminate all malware. Rearranged it so it flows better. > - Is this problem sometimes a direct result of not having the latest version of > Firefox? If not, we should take the section on upgrading. Updating Firefox can solve the problem. <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133439> <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220900> <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311844>
can someone approve the article, if it is done, so that we can close the bug.

Is new.net still a problem? I don't think I've seen a report of it since Firefox 2.
