400418 - Firefox/2.0.0.8 downloads outdated Word-documents from Sharepoint.

When downloading MS_Word and MS_Excel documents from sharepoint sites, it loads older versions. For instance, the documet 'migrationplan.xls' is requested, but the document 'migrationplan-3.xls'is loaded into Excel. This contains outdated, former data. Is there a solution? 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Edit migrationplan.xls and save on sharepoint site. 
2.From Mosilla, click "migrationplan.xls"

4. Start IE7.0 and load "migrationplan.xls". It loads the correct document in Excel with the changes made. 
Actual Results:  
3. Migrationplan-2 is loaded into excel and does not contain the changes made.

Expected Results:  
Migrationplan should be returned

 Start IE7.0 and load "migrationplan.xls". It loads the correct document in Excel with the changes made.

What are the server headers for the requested document ?
It seems that Firefox is using a cached entry...

Actual Results:  
According to firefox setting it will ask to save it or open it.
If open option is clicked then it saves the file to temporary folder and opens
from there.

Expected Results:  
Should open file directly from share point, and when shave should save it to
share point.

Does this happen with firefox 4 or later with a fresh profile?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 4 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
