Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 (20070728) (Dutch) When my boss manually marks incoming mail (in his inbox) as junk, his Thunderbird moves the mail to the Trash folder instead of the Junk folder. I checked the settings and everything looks right. When I do the same thing on my Thunderbird (which is exactly the same version), the mail is correctly moved to the Junk folder. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Please do provide more details, like OS, account tipes, pop-imap, if there are specific methods to mark as junk that you use different etc. Also (if not yet), please check settings both(!) in "account settings/junk settings" ( move to.., delete after x days ..) but also !! in "tools/options/privacy" "junk" small tab 'When I mark msg as junk .... delete them' ? This split options may be the cause and may find a difference in settings If any of these solve it or just in newer versions have seen different, please post back. [hope that helps..]
that split options described in bug 352428 may be "preference" or "account manager" to set ..

Indeed, the option in tools/options/privacy was incorrect. I didn't really check that the problem is solved now, but I guess we can assume that was the problem.
I'll consider it a confusion created by that split options and mark as dependent on bug 352428 and wfm fixing. If not the case, change it back ..
