I'd like a newsgroup to talk about enterprise issues and things like that. Is this an easy thing to get done? I'm thinking .enterprise or something like that.
It's not particularly complicated. Is this to house an existing community (if so, where does it hang out at the moment?) or are you anticipating drawing new people in? Would mozilla.community.enterprise, to parallel mozilla.community.mozpad, be an OK name? Gerv
It's basically a startup community. We're trying to get a community around enterprise, so we starting an enterprise working group for Firefox. Home is currently: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise What we really need is a place for people to have better open communications about enterprise type issues. Wiki isn't the right place for this. mozilla.community.mozpad exists on news.mozilla.org. Try clicking "Refresh" in Thunderbird's newsgroup subscription window. Reassigning to Dave to create the group "mozilla.community.enterprise". Gerv

Is this something specific for Firefox? If it's not intended to include other products the name might need to reflect that... or maybe not. Just throwing the idea out there before the group name is recorded in Google Groups for posterity ;)
I think it is a general mozilla thing. We'd like to discuss enterprise issues in all the products. My only concern is that enterprise will turn away educational institutions. What I'm trying to establish here is a place to discuss issues that arise in small, medium, large business and educational institutions, etc.

I'm not seeing mozilla.community.enterprise on either the news server or Google Groups.
It was just requested today... Jeremy's first time doing one of these, he didn't realize that I've usually left these open until the group actually shows up. I didn't see the point in reopening it. Give it about 4 hours for Google (should show up shortly after midnight PST on there tonight), and through mid-day tomorrow for news.m.o.
It made it to Google http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.community.enterprise/topics But it's not on news.m.o yet.
