Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; es-ES; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9 Build Identifier: Thunderbrid 2.0.0.9 I am trying to upgrade to 2.0.0.9 from previous version (spanish Spain) and Thunderbird downloaded fine the file, but when it tries to install I get an error. And now I can not open it, I always get the same error. I have tried to uninstall it, and it's impossible. I have tried to delete the folder and I cann't delete the file mozMapi32.dll I think it's a problem with permissions, I have super-user account (vista home preimium), I think it tries to overwrite that file and it can not do it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Thunderbird previous version 2.update to new 2.0.0.9 3.run the updater 4.it can not write to folder... 5.try to uninstall, you can not 6.try to manually delete the folder you can delete all, but not mozMapi32.dll Actual Results: I can not use THunderbird
Did you download and use the Windows installer or are you using Software Update?
Thunderbird himself tried the update. Later I have tried downloading the file and same problem Now, i have solved it with this idea. I have renamed the file mozMapi32.dll to mozMapi32.dllk I have installed the last version from your web, and now it's running OK. I think there is a problem with permissions in Windows Vista.
