Build Identifier: 2.0.0.9 (20071031)
After upgrading my TB to 2.0.0.9 (I have auto update enabled for TB and extensions), if I click on Start/Programs/Thunderbird/Thunderbird (Safe mode) or Thunderbird (No extensions), all extensions are enabled.
It keeps me from diagnosing recent address book issues...
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on Start/Programs/Thunderbird/Thunderbird (Safe mode/No extensions)
Actual Results:
TB opens in normal mode
Expected Results:
TB should open with all extensions disabled
I have Lightning, Talkback, XMPP4Moz and SamePlace extensions

You should still be able to get to Safe Mode:

Keywords: qawanted
Summary: "Safe mode" and "No extensions" options open TB in normal mode instead, after upgrade to 2.0.0.9 → "Safe mode" and "No extensions" windows shortcuts open TB in normal mode instead, after upgrade to 2.0.0.9

It worked. So it's a problem with the menu shortcuts, correct? Maybe they should be rewritten.
BTW, pls check Bug 406822. IMHO, both can be corrected at once.
Thanks.

Emerson, What's wrong with the shortcut?
This is another example that would benefit from bug 91534.
=> installer, better than general, but perhaps still not the right place.
Component: General → Installer
QA Contact: general → installer

Nothing anymore. In version 2.0.0.14 Win ptBR the shortcuts are fine. In version 2.0.0.9, the shortcut didn't activate the -safe-mode option. Either someone fixed it or maybe my installation was corrupt.
Also, in that version, or shortly earlier, the shortcut caption changed from "No extensions" to "Safe mode", causing duplicated shortcuts. Once I wiped them out, it's being fine so far.
IMO, this is fixed.

As per Wayne suggestion (thru personal message), I'm closing the bug as WFM.
