Problem: I have the german version of Thunderbird installed, and write the one half of my eMails in German, and the other half in English. Unfortunately, I have to switch my dictionaries for spell-checking almost every time I write an email....
I thought about an automatic dictionary selection, based on the number of misspelled words, If the user has a limited number of dictionaries installed, e.g. more than one but less than 5. The algorithm could wait, until the user has entered for example 10 words, then select the dictionary which matches the input best, and then let the user optionally change the dictionary manually. The feature could be tunred on/off in the preferences.
Any thoughts?
