Please provide a boolean setting called "Reverse display City and Zip/Postal Code" which by default is false. Like the current implementation, the address book will display in the address parts of a card as "City, Zip/Postal Code".
However, when this boolean is selected, the address book will display this information in reverse and without the comma, like "Zip/Postal Code City". This is the standard for many European countries and this setting should be independent of the selected language.
However, when Country has been filled out in the card, this setting could be overridden by the know standard for that particular country. E.g. the setting "Reverse display City and Zip/Postal Code" has been set to true, but an address in the US with country explicitly filled out to "United States" (or whatever variety), the card should list "City, Zip/Postal Code". Of course this is additionally to this feature request. An easier alternative would be that per address in a card it is possible to be able to override City and Zip/Postal Code formatting.
Probably more variations exist in the world than the two discussed here. If that is the case, the boolean should be replaced with a 1-on-n selection.
The setting "Reverse display City and Zip/Postal Code" could be part of Thunderbird Preferences / Composition / Addressing
