The USPTO site is critical for patent searches. If you go to http://www.uspto.gov/patft/ open "quick search"and type a word in the first search box (virtually ANY word will bring up multiple patents which you can use to reproduce the problem).
Once you open a patent, got to the top center of the page, to "image" (this is the graphic reproduction of the actual patent, where the drawings are located).
Firefox will not display an image, making the search pretty much useless for accurately researching patents.
I have to continue to use Safari until this is corrected.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.visit http://www.uspto.gov/patft/
2.choose "quick search"
3.type "tree" into term 1 box
4.click on "search"
5.choose any patent
6.when patent opens, choose "images"
Actual Results:
7.no image appears
Expected Results:
8.an image of the current patent page should appear
9.this is an important government service and should be accessible with firefox. the ability to look at patent drawings is paramont to understanding how the subject matter functions. the uspto can be reached at 571-273-2885.
good luck
