When there is an attachment, It would be nice if the icons where opaque if the item is ready and translucid or a different look, for instance, a CSS "opacity" around 0.4 if the download is not completed (for disk space configurations).
That feature would make the icon to seem "faded" to indicate that it is necessary to complete its download.

Today I got a new year message and the attachment preview-icon showed normally, I tried to open or save and it didn't work... Scrolling the visualization panel down I saw the message "Click here to get the full message..."

It is a new feature request.

Regards.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a message with long attachments
2. Look at the previewed attachment-icons

Actual Results:
They look normal

Expected Results:
I suggest they should look translucid (semi-transparent) if they were not downloaded totally, to

Agreeing with WONTFIX here; it should be possible to tell when an attachment isn't fully downloaded by looking for the file size. If that's missing, it hasn't been downloaded yet.
