I would like to apply for a CVS account. The work I've done so far has been mostly focused on front-end Firefox issues, some small amount of hacking for the Persian localization, as well as some contributions to Sumo (recently).
The list of bugs I've fixed: <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&bug_status=RESOLVED&bug_status=VERIFIED&resolution=FIXED&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=exact&email1=ehsan.akhgari%40gmail.com> (currently ~50, not counting the recent Sumo articles I've worked on)
The list of bugs I've worked on and are pending for review: <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=exact&email1=ehsan.akhgari%40gmail.com&field0-0-0=flagtypes.name&type0-0-0=regexp&value0-0-0=.*review\%3F> (24 currently)
I've experienced the review process and other requirements (such as getting an approval) on committing patches to the codebase. It would be great that I can check-in my patches after getting the necessary reviews/approvals.
I'll provide the necessary info (SSH public key and the signed form) and ask for the vouchers and the sr shortly.

New key in OpenSSH compatible format. This should be used instead of the previous key.

Due to a recent overhaul of the committer's agreement, we are requiring new forms be sent for accounts that have yet to be created, even if you have already filled out and submitted the old CVS Contributor Form. Please download the form at http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf and submit it according to the directions specified at http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/notification/. We apologize for this necessary inconvenience. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks!

I read somewhere that those who are taking part in the Summit are preferred to sign their forms at the Summit (don't remember where!). Is this the case, or should I mail the new form before then?
Comment 7•16 years ago

Ehsan, that's for people with existing accounts who need to update their agreement. For new accounts, we need the new form.

OK, I've printed and signed the form. I'll drop it off at the post office as soon as possible.

I dropped the signed form today at the post office. They said it should take about a couple of weeks for it to be delivered. Marcia: will you update this bug when you receive the new form?
Thanks!

It would really be great if I can get access; since I'm really in need of being able to push to the try server in order to test my work...
Thanks!

Is this just for a cvs account or both cvs and a l10n account?

Both CVS (/cvsroot, mozsrc) and Hg (hg_mozilla, hg_mozsrc). No l10n account...

I already have l10n access from bug 417682 for fa.

Ehsan is setup in despot, I just checked. So the remaining work that has to be is for server-ops to add the SSH key for the CVS account and create the HG if necessary. This bug is assigned to aravind so he will need to act on it or move it back into the server-ops queue.

Done. Your account should now have mercurial and cvs access. Sorry, this took a while.

Thanks! Does this also include an LDAP account (which for example I can use on the try server), or do I need to file another bug for that?

Hg access is done via LDAP, so yes. You should have received the details from whoever set your account up - aravind/reed?

The only email I got was from Reed explaining the Despot login details... The LDAP user name is my email address I suppose, but I don't have any corresponding password.

I just reset it. You should receive an e-mail with your temporary password.

I did receive the email, but the password in that email didn't seem to be valid (I couldn't get past the HTTP auth prompt using ehsan.akhgari@gmail.com as the username...)

I've successfully pushed to hg, committed to CVS, and used my LDAP account on Verbatim and MozillaTry.
