[Follow-up to Bug 405210]
It would be nice if the identity button had a similar appearance as the new URL bar drop button, making it actually look like a button. I think Bug 405210 implemented much of the needed infrastructure for this. What's left is a way to change the window background color for the button (overriding the theme color) to make it appear green for SSL-EV.
I think this would be a huge win, as it would help users to understand that the favicon area has more meaning now.
The mockup also includes a sample shot from Gimmie, which is a GTK launcher that uses the mentioned widget-coloring. The actual mockups below have been done by merging screenshots with the normal background color and the background color set to the EV green.

Most likely a CSS issue, not a GTK issue.
Component: Widget: Gtk → OS Integration
Product: Core → Firefox
