This is a bug for tracking shipping the Afrikaans locale of Thunderbird 2. The various bugs leading up to this are indicated as dependencies. This is completed, ready to ship, tested, etc.
This has been tested on Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. Feedback has been positive and the last few issues have been fiexed.

The checkin to make this fixed happened in bug 416183. Is there more to this bug or can we close it? (I honestly don't know. :) )
QA will need to verify this checkin happened on the 1.8 branch as well (so, verify we have Afrikaans builds of 1.8.1.13).
