If you select the "Application" plot-selector, you get a large list of host applications (Firefox 2.0.0.9, Firefox 2.0.0.11, etc.). If would be useful if there's one for "any version of Firefox" so that cross-app extensions can tell at a glance what the per-app totals are. Right it _looks_ like I have half Firefox and half Thunderbird... but it's hard to tell.

Similarly, I'd like to be able to see totals for "Firefox 2" and "Firefox 3", lumping minor versions together.

I think that the correct design should take into account the hierarchical nature of the values: Firefox 3.5, 3.5.1, 3.5.2, etc. are special cases of Firefox 3.5.*, and Firefox 2.*, Firefox 3.0.*, Firefox 3.5.*, etc. are special cases of Firefox.
A similar improvement can be also made to the statistics about locales (see bug 549343) and perhaps OSes.
