User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.10) Gecko/20071213 Fedora/2.0.0.10-3.fc8 Firefox/2.0.0.10 Build Identifier: CVS With Bind DN not empty (account login), the lookup in autocomplete failed. The server log contain: slapd[48419]: conn=2 op=0 BIND dn="" method=128 slapd[48419]: conn=2 op=0 RESULT tag=97 err=0 text= This is not happened in Address Book window. If Bind DN set to blank, the lookup return results possibility match. Which is of course this only work with anonymous read. I tried with any combination in prefs.js such "ldap_2.autoComplete.directoryServer" which point to my server. And use global directory. All no success. I found many similar bug report. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set Bind DN a value 2. Set ldap_2.autoComplete.directoryServer to this server 3. Set either combination in address lookup for global or account 4. Type in "To" field. Actual Results: Server logs: BIND dn="" method=128 Expected Results: Server logs: BIND dn="cn=username,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com" method=128 As this server set the slapd.conf with: by anonymous auth by * none The lookup failed.

If this were the last bug holding back 3.0a2, I wouldn't stop 3.0a2 on it. But it should definitely block tb3.
