Overview: The Address Book Menu Spec states that there should be a View|Sort
by|Type menu item.
The main Address Book Spec does not mention 'Type' being a column choice. Also,
bug # 33806 doesn't mention this option.
The 4.x version had this option and it appeared in the first column. It would
sort Address Book Cards seperate from Address Book Lists. I like the 'type'
option, especially if you have many cards and lists.

If this isn't currently implemented, I would say drop it for NS6. Less critical
feature. Kevin/Sol, you agree?

It should be a menu item most likely but it isn't getting implemented anytime
soon. moving to future milestone.

So does this require some javascript and some xul work? or would someone need
